I don't think NEProfiler is a reliable application...my phone is 2 steps nearer to its grave as it keeps beeping "low battery" and NEP keeps telling me I have 14 hours of battery left...

Does this make any sense to you?

I've had a battery drain issue but when it occurred a number of other things happened:

- "Press Unlock to activate keypad" keeps appearing when the keypad is locked
- cant adjust volume in calls (except using the centre navi key)
- cant zoom in/out in camera
- music multimedia button dont (play, pause, fwd, rwd)
- music multimedia button dont launch music play
- battery runs out quicker; energy profiler shows phone uses over 1w instead of 0.2w it normally runs at.

this happens intermittently, dont work for a day or so then fine for a few days and so on.

Any ideas?

My problem has now stopped.

I had recently installed some 3rd party software:
FlipSilent
ShakeSMS (self signed)

So I removed ShakeSMS 1st and the problem persisted.
I then removed FlipSilent and there was no sign of the problem.

I then reinstalled only ShakeSMS signed and I have not had the problem since I last posted so fingers crossed it shouldn't return.

I'm tempted to reinstall FlipSlient but dont want a buggy phone again...guess thats the only way to prove it it was what caused the problem...I'll give it a little more time before I try

My phone`s battery usually could support phone usage for about one day. But i have set my backlight to minimum, it`s not that bad. Now i can use my N95 for 4 days straight without recharge. (about 1 hour of music per day, plus phone calls and sms). If you need battery life, try this tip! Cheers!

FlipSilent

Hi

I previously reported that I had battery drain issues which I found to be due to 3rd party software, I suspected FlipSilent v1.03 was the perpetrator and can now saw I truely believe that to be the case.

Without FlipSilent my phone has been working fine not battery drain or other buggy issues like my clock needing to be reset when my phone was turned off or my slider not unlocking when the phone when slide up.

Yesterday I installed FlipSilent v1.05 and almost immediately my phone started playing up; the slider issue appeared within minutes.

I didn't wait for the battery drain issue to start or to see if the clock would start needing reset...I uninstalled it and my phone is fine.
I have been trying to report the issues I had with Torgen but could not get access to post...maybe someone out there can report this to him.

Thumbs up Orange uk V13.0.003 problem solved

Possible Fix to battery drain..

Problem
I've just done the firmware upgrade (v 13.0.003) on my N95.
Used to Get 2 day battery life, now will only last 8-10 Hours on standby with no calls.

Solution found on the nokia forum....

Go to Menu – Log then right TAB

Found this log full of attempts to connect to a WLAN even though WLAN scanning off and only standby application running.
WLAN in question was one that I used while on holiday in the hotel.
Go to Menu – Settings – Connection – Access point and deleted offending WLAN access point

Cleared the log and no further attempts to access.
Boy am I a happy bunny
