Web Access help needed

Hi all.

I'm turing to you all after two solid days trying to sort this out. I hade certainly hoped for a more interesting bank holiday weekend!

Problem:

On Friday night, my web browser refused to acess anything outside planet three, and refused to connect to my gmail server to check for mail.
It had been working beautifully until that point (leading me to, rather hastily, return my Voda 3g dongle back to the works IT department with a sneer). It browsed via nokia web client, opera, it checked mail, it acessed facebook. The lot. I was a happy man.

How I get "Web: Connection time out" (after about 2 seconds) when I try to browse anything outside of planet three (which works perfectly).
I no longer get the "You're leaving planet three, if you don't have a data plan we're going to rape your bank account", but come to think of it, I haven't seen that for a while. Maybe because I have xseries silver?

Anyway, I try 3CS. They tell me remove the battery, clean the contacts, make sure SIM is in OK, try resending the settings via sms. NOTHING!
I tried 6 or 7 times (seperate calls) to 3CS, and they didn't really seem to have much of a clue.
Anyway, I went back to the Three shop I got the phone from. They had a look, confirmed it wasn't working right, so I suggested trying another SIM in my phone to test the hardware. What do you know? All worked fine with another SIm in the phone.
The guy did a full wipe and reset (Deleting all my number etc, so it was a thorough wipe), and it seemed to work ok - for about 10 minutes, then on the blink again.

I went back the next day to get a replacement handset just in case (slider is waaaay better on this one), and as before, it all worked great when I tried it in front of the guy, then after a quick wander around Ikea, I tried to acess facebook again - NOTHING! Just hung.

****!!!!!

Called 3CS AGAIN! Went through the same (we'll send you settings, take battery out, delete cache). I got the impression he was reading some kind of troubleshooting manual.

So, he gets me to go into my3, check access etc, then gets me to try bbc.co.uk (previously wouldn't work). It worked!

So I'm a happy man again.............................for 10 minutes of so!!!!!!!!!!!

Can anyone shed any light on this? I'm b*ggered without email access etc on the phone. :(

I was hoping they'd say I had gone over my data limit on xsilver and had been blocked until next month. I know it's unlimited, but actually only 1gb under fair usage.

I asked them about this, but they didn't really understand no matter how I tried to explain it.

I'd be soooo happy to hear from anyone having same issues/fixes.

Please help!

I'm thinking it's got to be that, or a network setting that the CS don't know about.
