It's important to note that WOM World is not Nokia, rather a Nokia sponsored group- so it's not as though they could officially comment on something like this, if that's what you were suggesting, Leong. At any rate, Nokia is just as interested in negative feedback on issues like the lack of decent lens protection as they are with praise- even more so really.
That being said... I still think a soft transparent plastic disk over more plastic that is still exposed to whatever before light gets to the actual camera lens is rubbish. I believe that the vast majority of Nokia consumers would appreciate decent measures taken to protect the lens of a 5mpix device with such a price tag.

N95-3. The 'protective coating' is nearly worn off all together. Now- I
do take good care of my
N95. There's not a nick or anything anywhere else on the phone. It lives in one pocket, with nothing else. Ever. No idea if I've gotten a bum coating or something- but it's trashed. I don't think this is a reasonable measure to protect the optics.
