Exclamation Inclinometer for Nokia N95 update [June 1, 2008]

What is Inclinometer ?

An inclinometer or clinometer is an instrument for measuring angles of slope (or tilt), elevation or inclination of an object with respect to gravity. It is also known as a tilt meter, tilt indicator, slope alert, slope gauge, gradient meter, gradiometer, level gauge, level meter, declinometer, and pitch & roll indicator. Clinometers measure both inclines (positive slopes, as seen by an observer looking upwards) and declines (negative slopes, as seen by an observer looking downwards).

As for the application on N95 ,The basic functionality of this simlpe application is to show your vehicle angles while off-roading using the Nokia N95 accelerometer. Just Fix your mobile phone in a secure cradle and then launch the app!.

Change log:

1. It should be now working on other phones with accelerometer (ie. N82)
2. Added options for reset and keeping the backligh on continuously

Download Inclinometer

That looks useful. I work in forestry and use a Suunto Clinometer to measure tree heights for sales and volume samples. These clinometers cost about £100 so if the N95 one is accurate that will make a good saving. Thanks for this useful post,my thank-you button will not work again!!!
