I get similar ones in the house regularly, like someone said it's a type of hunting spider.

Pretty weird the first time you see one.

Its a harmless grass spider I think.

Yes but on the other hand it could also be one of those man eating spiders which are nearly identical and also common in northern Europe. In fact, I would just cut your losses and let the spider have your car if I were you.

This one looks alot like White Tails we get in OZ....

those white tails are becoming a prob here in new zealand. i had two mates who were bitten and the wounds didnt heal properly for a couple of months. it depends what the spiders have eaten when you are bitten

I can't even stand tiny spiders, I thought I was safe in Britain. That one in the original post looks pretty evil though :(
