orange tariffs be carefull

hiya nearly got an n82 on orange the other day was really close to leaving o2 as well but when i looked into it i noticed this big deciding factor

unlimited txs for orange means -- only sms messages -- mms will be charged still at 25p for under 50kb and over 50kn is 35p

unlimited txts for o2 means -- sms+mms -- mms will use 4 of your free txt allowance so they are still free

also video calls

on orange -- 35p min to orange -- 50p min xnetwork

on o2 -- 1 min of video calling is the same as 1 min of just voice calling and will be taken out of your free allowance like normal mins wether xnetwork or not

as you can see if id gone for orange i would have still been paying for mms and viseo calling but with o2 they are included in your tarifffs free stuff

also orange data plans are ridiculous

iam so gald i didnt sign up for that orange contract and i stuck with o2 ;-)

ALLWAYS CHECK YOUR TARIFF INFO BEFORE YOU SIGN YOUR CONTRACT TO SEE WHATS INCLUDED AND WHATS NOT UNTILL I CHECKED I PERSUMED THAT ALL MY TXTX WOULD BE INCLUDED WITH ORANGE I WAS SO WRONG

thanks everyone

Yeah, Orange's plans aren't as good as others.

However i managed to get their Dolphin 35 for £26 / month, almost £10 cheaper! That was from the Oragne shop itself too, you don't get if you don't ask! I don't particularly use MMS, or video calling and i only use the web when there is wi-fi available, so it worked out ok for me.

buxz777. Thanks for a useful post. I'm on O2 and I admit I had never examined the terms and charges. Great summary!

Don't forget, O2 also give returning customers O2 Treats.

Comedy is just about saying stupid things cleverly, or is it clever things stupidly... Anyway, it's not rocket surgery.
