Bloody hell Waggajag !!!!

What is the mesh fencing though, it's not all that clear - was this part of the 'missile' too or just fencing where the car is parked up?

Lucky escape I'd say!

You don't see too many of those on UK roads... Kangaroos, I mean... Not Australians... They're everywhere!

Seriously though folks, that must have been travelling at some velocity to penetrate the guard mesh, seemingly at a slight angle too! The driver was very lucky not to be badly injured, judging from that shot!

Sorry people I should've explained it a little more.

The truck that got 'speared' is identical to the one I drive (in the pic below.)

We drive 900kms a day all on country roads where Kangaroos and other wildlife can be a problem, along with stones thrown up from the road - we have a wonderful (not) interstate highway system, I think other Aussies can vouch for this.

The mesh in the original pic is a stone guard that is fitted on the bottom half of the windscreen. The guard usually stops most small stones but is obviously no good at shrapnel! (Owls at 110kmh tend to just put a big dent in them )

Nice tractor and quite some trailer set-up! Bet that's great fun to manoeuvre at times!

After that experience I'd be inclined to opt for a full-screen shield of much stronger mesh though!

Thanks for the explanation Waggajag - hope you don't take a wrong turn in that thing!

A 3-point turn would surely be out of the question!

Wow, that is some rig!

Caught this little fish today :)

I did catch a bigger one, but it snapped my line lol

Friday I drove past the Nokia Research department in Jyväskylä, where 400 staff work.

You can just make out the NOKIA roof sign.
