Anyone else with a loose slider?

As you know there are three positions available for the slider. I'll call them multimedia (with the multimedia keys showing), closed (with no multimedia or numeric leys showing) and numberic (with the numeric keys showing).

Well, my phone slider rattles in numeric or closed mode. There's something like 1/2 mm looseness and it bothers me a lot.

Is it normal?
Anyone with the same problem?

A lot of people have this problem and it's pretty common. You can fix the issue yourself with a T5/T6 screwdriver with some electrical tape.

Read the guide here:

If you decide to open your phone up, be patient and take it slow! And of course I bear no responsibilities to any damages to your phone :P The guide worked fine for me and usually I'm pretty clumsy with these kind of things..

i dont have a loose slider, yet, but i can see it is a very easy fix. i have experience in phone assembly/disassembley/repair etc so its not something that bothers me....

what does bother me is the fact that opening your phone like this could lose your warranty. 2 year warranty on a very expensive phone, not good..

I understand that people might be worried about losing their warranty, however when I opened my phone up there aren't any seals on any of the screws and to get to the slider is very simple, it's there as soon as you take the cover off the back, so I wouldn't worry about the warranty, I very much doubt anyone could tell if the phone had been taken apart just for that.

Obviously if you had to take it for a warranty repair you might want to remove the piece of tape or whatever before you sent it for repair.
