n95 firmware version for GPS

Suppose to be the made in finland version. I am located in toronto, canada.

I cant get a lock on the GPS, says network not found, but then i change to rogers internet(cellular provider) it doesnt lock on. When I did it in my house, it locked on using the Wifi connection. But since then it is unable to find the GPS location, keeps showing me my house.

gps lock has nothing to do with network on v10.

network is only used to download map data. if you have downloaded maps using nokia maploader on pc u dont need this option enabled. otherwise u can use network to download te maps on the fly. Search the forum for threads on hwo to get your initial gps lock

upgrading is always a good idea. the new firmware is much faster and more reliable, and assisted gps makes gps locks far quicker
