Hi, i just got my shiny new
n95-8gb! I love it for the most part, i am trying to set up music to put on it but have ran in to lots of issues.
Nokia Music Manager makes me want to kill kittens, so i would rather not use it, and when i did finally use it, i slowly(VERY SLOWLY) transfered over 4 gigs of mp3 and m4a from iTunes and after a long time it finished, so i do the refresh library thing, and after an equally long time it only found about half the songs and of those it could play even less.
So after a bit of work i set up Windows Media Player 11 to be able to play .m4a files and used the coolest app ever, MusicBridge to sync over all of the playlists and metadata from iTunes to WMP11, Now i can get songs transfered over without having to do that dumb refresh library function but WMP11 thinks my
n95 is incompatible with .m4a files and some of the mp3 files, which i know isnt true because i bluetoothed them over to test.
So i call Nokia tech support get a guy that has no clue what is going on, because when i ask him about Windows Media Player's transfer functions he said the only way to get music on my phone is with Nokia Music Manager and so i let him think that, and listened to him fumble around a bit, then he said he will put me on hold and hung up. Thanks Nokia.
Anyhoo, there must be a better way then transferring small amounts of music via nokia music manager and my
n95 every time it finishes. I know that .m4a isnt a native WMP11 file, but with a few plugins you can get WMP11 to play them just fine. Any ideas on what to do?
cheers!
