Hi all and welcome to the N95 Users montly photo competition.

Each month there will be a theme posted, chosen by the previous months winner.

You then have to the end of the month to take and submit your image, your image will be credited with a thanks. User with the most thanks at the end wins. Please also credit an image with your thanks to any image which you like.

These are the basic rules for each month.

Rules

* Pics to be sized to 800x600 or smaller, anything over that WILL BE DELETED!!!

* Only one picture can be submitted per forum member, per month. The first image will be your final image, unless asked to re host.

* All pics to be taken by an N95 only and to have a description of the picture plus details of camera-settings whenever possible.

* Images may only be Inverted or cropped No other form of photo edditing or alterations is allowed

* To be eligible for the prize, the winner each month must be able to submit a version of the winning image containing embedded Exif data, to the competition adjudicator for verification.

* Pictures that are linked from a hosting site, must be displayed in your post fully. Thumbnails, and smaller images submitted will not be accepted. Again, it'll be removed and you'll be requested to re-host correctly.

* Points to be calculated for each pic by the number of 'Thanks' credited to it, and added to a tally for each month.

* Organiser & Adjudicator "IJM" to keep the score and announce each months' winner on that night or as soon as possible after the closing of that months competition.

* Prizes will be given in the form of a $50 USD Software Certificate for monthly winners and a $200 prize (decided when the time comes for a yearly/bi-yearly winner) and a custom N95 Users trophy.

* A few days before the end of the month, the top three people will receive a PM from IJM asking for their chosen theme for the following month. If the winner fails to respond in time with a theme to be used, the 2nd place users theme will be chosen, and so on with 3rd etc.

* Please do not add any signature in your profile with a link to your post or asking for any kind of votes. You'll be asked for it to be removed immediately.

Great, any more interest, if we have enough I'll look into conquering the seemingly insurmountable logistical issues. :) :)

this should be fun. id say one of the rules would be that the picture has to be taken with the phone and not a dslr

yeah I'll bite on this one, definitely has to be from the N95 though. It's snowboarding season so let me know when we do a snow theme

Sounds good to me, IJM!

Suggested guidelines...

Pics to be sized to fit within post-widths on 1024x768 display screens... No having to scroll sideways to see the full pic.

All pics to be taken by an N95 only and to have a description of the pic + details of camera-settings whenever possible.

Pics to be linked to from photo-album sites and fully displayed in the post (not thumbnails and links to Flickr, etc.)

Points to be calculated for each pic by the number of 'Thanks' credited to it.

IJM to keep the score and announce each months' winner on the first day of the month following. ;)

Oh! And Pseudofinn to be barred from entering the competition!!

All this to be cleared with The Main Man... I haven't been able to find him yet! Flippin' Scarlet pimp-ernel that he is lately! <g>

Well, I guess you can start now if you follow the guidelines above... As for the prize, I'm sure that IJM is raiding his piggy-bank as we speak! ;)
