Talking N-Series QWERTY?

"Well, if this report at boygeniusreport is accurate it looks like I may be crossing off at least one of the most-hoped-for items from my wishlist in 2008! The report also states the device will have "DVD-Quality" video recording, and other features that..."

it's the size of a small laptop! :O

no seriously, it's too big to be a handy phone (the N95 it just at the limit IMHO) and yet the keyboard is too small to write with two hands, I like my external BT keyboard for the N95 better.
The keys also look like something from the 80's but that might just be me

Well its slated as a candy bar, so I think it'll be around the same length as an iPhone but not quite as wide, and obviously a bit thicker (Helio Ocean is 23mm Vs N95 8GB 21mm). Should still be in the realms of pocket-ability I would think.

To be honest, for me personally, I could go up to 25mm or so and still be happy. I'd willingly sacrifice a little pocket-ability for the UI-benefits of that form-factor.

Looks very cool. If it's about the size of a BB Curve that would be awesome. Even if it's a liitle bigger, that's ok too. Just a long as it is not as wide as the current e71.

A nice concept, but it looks asolutely hideous! I would be embarrassed to carry that Casio calculator imitation around with me

The E61 looked presentable at least

Agreed. E61 for me is one of the ugliest form-factors around. I've updated the blog post slightly to include that, I really want something like the triple slide (although a double ala the Helio Ocean would be perfectly sufficient).

I dunno, the more it moves, the more it'll break.

I'd love the idea of another E70 style fold out keyboard, those things were great.

But I get the feeling that if they do make anything like that, It'll be more like the N810, with one solid slider and a touchscreen.

If the proportions of the following pic are true-to-life, the N-Qwerty looks to be a perfect form factor for a qwerty (not too big and not too small).

As for looks, I have learned not to pass judgement 100% based on photos alone. Many devices don't photo well and look much better in person.

The Nokia Guide

BGR seems to have a "live" pic. Doesn't look too bad fellas! :)

wtf? The image on The Nokia Guide is very misleading at best. That image was created and used earlier elsewhere as a size comparison. Furthermore the Nseries qwerty has nothing to do with the rumored E71- they are two different stories.

Rumor Mill Overtime: QWERTY NAM Nseries Looming? | Nokia Users

There's a picture of the "E71" (NOT what was pictured at Devin's site) as well as an explanation as to the confusion with the two stories all over the place this morning and links to both BGR reports.
