Question Branded phone

Am i right in saying that because my n95 has orange onit that it is a orange branded phone and that explains why i cant get the new update?

That would be the most logical explination, yes

Debranding is an option to bypass this restriction

can i return the phone fuly back to how it was before if i dont like it ?
also i cant find my product code anyware , other than the phone

ive read allot of threads and my eyes are saw

Your product code chould be labelled on the silver sticker under your battery

And unfortunately no, you cannot downgrade your firmware version. I can't think of anyone at all who has said that they preferred their 'old' firmware version after debranding from Orange though :P

Since upgrading: things load slower, the icons are more ugly/pixelized, loads of useful menu shortcuts are gone, the music player doesn't go to er; the music player, Apart from that I don't regret ridding of the orange firmware :o

I never noticed any icon differences when i went from o2 v15 to v20... other than the n-gage icon and stuff appearing.
