Battery drain after voice nav install

Yesterday, I installed the voice navigation trial. Worked perfectly. Unfortunately, this installation seems to have seriously affected the operation of the phone. The phone seems to lock up but even worse is that the battery dies in a couple of hours (and the phone gets warm). Could someone shed some light on what might have gone wrong? I have used two batteries and it's the same on both. Also, I can't see how to uninstall the voice navigation to see if this solvs the problem. Any help and advice gratefully received!!

is the program running in the background? I assume you mean the Nokia voice nav trial?

If the device is getting warm, it sounds like there is an active WLAN connection. This would explain the battery loss too. Hold the menu button for a second or two and the native task manager will pop up. This will show all the open applications on the phone - Hopefully you will find what is using the WiFi (Click on an icon to access the application, then close as normal)

Failing this, just try rebooting the phone

No and yes. The battery has been out a number of times so all apps must have been terminated. Yes to the quetion about the trial. Cheers

If I hold down the menu button, I get a "standby" icon at the top of the screen but it doesn't do anything! I'v re-booted many times as the phone has started freezing as well. I am begining to think that I will need to re-build the phone!

my phone gets warm everytime i use GPS.. with or without wifi.. and battery drains..
