Ah yea, fair enough thanks for that. So its already in the phone yes? Is there anything else i have to install? What is that plugin used for that i just installed as seen in my first post?
SOME handsets do not have the plugin pre-installed.
All the plugin does is activates the phones ability to utilise the accelerometer.
So if you have different apps on your phone that can use it, they work properly.
if a phone as one built in then it means when you are watching a video and turn it horizontal from verticle it will automaticaly put the video horizontal on the screen, it is there to make it easier and also some games use is so when you tilt the phone it will move something on the game

The Accelerometer is a piece of hardware on the phone itself, i.e. as mcbain said it's a chip on the phone, that is used to sense direction and movement (or acceleration hence the ACCELERometer)
The accelerometer plugin that can be downloaded or may be pre-installed is a piece of software that the phone uses to enable access to the readings from the accelerometer. This will allow programs that are installed on the phone to use the readings of acceleromter to do different things such as change the orientation of the screen when the phone is tilted or lock and unlock the phone when you shake it. Programs such as RotateMe, NokMote, ShakeMe or even MosKillTo are all examples of programs that utilize the acceleromter.
