Hey guys... I have been using RotateME for 1-2 days now and find it to be fantastic... :) In the mail that i received from samir when i received the beta version it said that if i had any ideas i should write to him :) And thats exactly what i have done... I have decided to post the very same mail here also, so that people dont keep sending the same mail over and over again, and maybe come up with other ideas aswell? :) These are the ones that i could come up with...
Hey Samir, I have a cauple of ideas for you... :)
1: I think, "if it is possible" you should add a options menu to your programe so that we could chance some of the parameters our selves...? Sometimes it changes the layout to early for instance... When im speaking on the phone, and hang up it has changed the menu layout... So if there was a option menu, i could change when it should switch the layout... 45 degrees, 50 degrees, 75 degrees and so on :) you get the idea...
2: Sometimes it changes the layout even though its keylocked... I lock the keys, but it still changes the orientation of the menu? It may be a bug? :))
3: I have seen this around the web... People are complaining about your programe draining the battery quicker...? Im not sure if this is intirely true, but i think i can see it on my phone also? With this programe running, you have to charge more often? It may be because the accelerometer is on the intire time? im not sure...? If it was possible, then i think you should make it turn off the accelerometer when the keylock is activated... So that it that way does not drain the battery more than it has to...? :)
4: This may be a long shot, but it would be so cool if the screen would tilt the other way also? By that i mean, when you tilt your screen to the left, it turns to landscape layout... It would be so cool if it did the same when it was tilted to the right? So it turns the screen into layout again, but this time the other way around...? and also turn it all the way around, so that the keys are at the top, but the screen is still in normal portrait mode? :)
5: And finally, it would be so cool to have Nokmote, and RotateME working at the same time as one programe...? Or at the very least have it like this: RotateME turns on automatically when the phone is switched on, but when you hold down the * button for 2-3 seconds, it also activates Nokmote? and when im finished, i hold down the * button again and it turns it off again?
6: OK this is a summary... :) RotaME and Nokmote as one programe where Nokmote can be activated and deactivated by pressing * for 2 seconds... All of these should have options for how sensitive the programes are to tilting and turning, and ofcourse RotateME should work in all 4 directions... 2 landscape, 2 portrait modes :)
I hope you can use and implement one or more of these ideas :) and that im "we" are not asking for to much? :) Also, keep up the good work...! :)
