OK, I've uninstalled everything, restarted the PC and downloaded the devcert app again and followed the instructions to the letter (worked in IT for years and know my way around) but every time I generate the csr file, nothing
Is there anyone that could help me out on this?
Thanks

Steps
1 put in anything (your name will work fine)
2 Chose NO for ACS public ID, private key file I use sultan key (attach for you)
password 0123456
3 Fill out infos that you use with Symbiansigned
4 Enter your IMEI # and for application capabilities add ALL
5 you should be finish.
Now go into Your Computer, chose Local disc C
Find Program Files>Symbian OS Tools>Developer Certificate Request and your .csr file should be there. (it might be hidden so click on hidden or compatibility file)
Now go to Symbiansigned.com and click on My Symbian Signed tab, click on Request and follow instructions to get your cert.

Many thanks for taking the time to do this, however, this is the exact process that I have been following (did try your file this time).
Folder is set to view all files but no sign of the csr file, running Vista with no issues (other than running vista!) and no error messages during the program.
Begining to wish I'd donated "after" I had it working on my phone

for those having issues with the signing, make sure that you have two DIFFERENT names in the batch file. usually what happens is, people forget to change the name of the new sis file and it is overwritten...
Also, in Vista, you can choose the compatibility mode if your app isn't working. It works fine for me, but then again, I don't have the 64-bit OS.
Either way though, every 64-bit OS runs 32-bit apps...shouldn't have a problem with it.
Btw, thanks to Samir, I too have received and tested it! How wonderful that I can show the landscape pictures without having to slide it into landscape mode! :-D
Iphone's got nothing on me! :-P

Yeah, I am with you on this one ... just can't get it to work because of that stupid certification ... it's pissing me off.
Can't even start the .exe file which is supposed to be the DevCertRequest application. I am on Vista Ultimate, it will say nothing, just double click on file and .. nothing . I can see the (new) process running for a second, than will go away. Same on my laptop with Windows XP.
Can I install the file without signing it?
