Accelerometer? Who needs it!

When you've got an s60 3rd Ed. camera game! LOL

RollingBall is an ooooold application but I found no mention of it on here

Open your camera shutter first (Or not if you're an N95-2/3 user) and then open the application

Play it for a short while and you'll be glad we found the accelerometer ;D

It supports bluetooth multiplayer and here's a quick tip: If you really plan on trying to play this properly, moving the phone only slightly has the best results

Definitely not a contender against the newly discovered potential of the accelerometer! And just imagine if this was all we had to go on against the iPhone

I must warn you now, it's really not as good as it sounds

Compared to the accelerometer, movement sensoring is ALOT less reliable with the camera, but that's all down to the software rendering

erm. I may be about to get some serious ribbin' here, but I thought the N95 did have an Accelerometer?

If it doesn't, how does this work? By Samir - rotateMe
I watched the N95 demo on the site, seems automatic. Or is the demo video just a prank?

Honest question guys, I'm seriously confused now...

Sorry gavin, that's probably my fault - Yes, the N95 does infact have an accelerometer

I raised this thread to almost mock the movement sensing of the camera compared to using the accelerometer :P

No worries. I'm easily confused at the best of times. I just sent some money to the developer for RotateMe. Looks fantastic - can't wait. His NokMote app looks really clever too.

Yeah- lol... that cam game is BRUTAL! I think someone mentioned it here a while back- but it didn't get discussed much due to the fact that it's trash. You're right- the new sensor makes it even worse!

There are a couple cool cam games though- I don't know that I've seen any for s60v3, but version 2 had a Virus hunter game and a mosquito shooter game. Both basically use the camera to view the real world with mosquitoes or viruii superimposed on the screen. You shoot pan around and shoot them. It's great fun. Rolling ball is not! lol
