lol guys what i mean is that this feature is cool when you are in bed and don't wanna open your eyes to find the correct button or maybe when you don't want your girlfriend to know that your phone is in silent mode

and on the other hand .... no one is forcing you to use such an app

It would be based on a 180 degree rotation, I guess. So yeah it would. I think it would be better if you could do it with a 360 degree spin :P Looking smooth while going to silent.

For those without lens-covers this would have the added advantage of enabling them to take special-effects pictures... of the engraved-lens, swirly-pattern type... permanently!

Those of us that have a lens cover can obtain this effect easily with a key or other sharp\hard object
