N95 3D Accelerometer

I've had my N95 for about 7 months already and it's a shame that I've just begun to learn about the 3D accelerometer in my phone and I must say I'm very impressed by the numerous apps which exploit the accelerometer functions...this opens up an entirely whole new dimension of possibilities. There are currently a number of threads on in this forum relating to this topic, which I feel deserves a grouping of its own. Can we group threads relating to this topic into a sub-forum under General95? Thanks.

OK Folks... You asked for an Accelerometer section, now you have it!

So far I've moved the two main Rotateme and Nokmote threads to this new section, I now need you to post in THIS thread, the links to other threads on the forum that you think should be included in this section, so that I can move them to here.

Time to do your bit 'for the cause' ;)

N.B. Your post will be deleted after the link has been noted, to avoid confusion.

Accelerometer (movement sensor) is something different than 3D ACCELERATOR. And no, right now there are not many applications using 3D acceleration. And definitely it is not RotateMe

no we didn't abandon the section, just this post doesn't get any attention. The accelerometer section still gets good use.

Just to reply to alterfenix, yes there is a difference between 3D hardware acceleration which pertains to graphics but the accelerometer also is 3 Dimensional meaning it handles X,Y and Z axies (plural of axis?) so what the OPer said is correct that the 3D accelerometer is nice and RotateMe uses it while the NGage games and such use the 3D hardware acceleration
