Nokia N95

Hi, if I want to use apps on my n95 which take advantage of the accelerometer, do I need the accelerometer plugin to be installed? (pretty new to this stuff)

I found the plugin on the nokia site:
Activity Monitor | Nokia Research Center

(near the bottom)

Yes you do need it.

Plugin you have provided looks good to me.

Im new to this too.
I downloaded the same accelerometer. I've downloaded it from Nokia, and put it on my n95 using the PC suite Application Installer. I went through the installation process on my phone and everything seemed fine. Where is it now? How do I activate it? Should pictures flip as I turn my phone?

Hi i'm new to this and there's no sticky so..

What the hell is an acclerometer? Why is it so popular? Just because it rotates an image/video when you slide the screen down? Seems to me that already happens on my phone?

So does it..eh..acclelorate your phone? Sorry if this is a really obvious question. Or is there a range of apps that can only be used when you have this plugin and if so how do you know which third-party apps require an accelerometer?
