in Profile, turn Warning tones : off...if that dont work (it only works in Made in Finland models) then your country has to privacy laws due to which, by law the voice cant be switched off...unless you use a third party app to take pics...

that was gonna be my suggestion aswell... dont have first hand experience on the n95 trying it yet, but previous nokia s60 devices have had no standard silent camera mode..

Not all N95s operate this way. Depends on the device's intended market. Some N95's camera sounds cannot be disabled.

Lightbulb or..

Or you could just cough really loudly and mask the sound. :-) Perhaps even destroy just one of the speakers and deafen it a bit. Jk

I'd go with everyone else above and good luck!

Can't even write new(Blank) sound files onto the drive due to the security modules..

Silent profile works for me though; if and when I should need to take advantage of such properties

For those who don't already know...

1. In some firmware versions, holding down the '#' key switches in and out of 'Silent' mode.

2. If the camera is set to display the pic after taking it, then clicking 'C', followed by the 'action' key will quickly delete it, saving you having to step down to the 'Bin' icon and confirm the command.

Taking pictures in "silent mode" will shut off the camera sound on nokia phones as on SE phones. Not the best solution but the law forbidds manufactures to disable sound by settings.
