N95 Camera Strange Problem!!..
Hey Guys Plez Get Me Out Of this
I wanted to upgrade my phone an as its australian version aur mein sidha sadha hindustani... so i modified its code to euro code 0534841
now i upgraded it to V21.0.016 .... when it was done i noticed my camera is not workin...
it seems as if its gettin blocked by something... just wht appers on screen is black... although the icons do apper.. i can even switch between image n video mode
but i get is no display from camera...
i tried using camera with barcode reader but ther it shows me the theme backgroud....
i tried soft, hard format .. also reinstalling firmware... i tried starting it after removing memory card.. restarting ...etc etc but no lucks..
Plez Somebody HELP!!!....

Do you have a third party application that uses your main camera installed?
Maybe try re-installing your current firmware.

Dude i told u i already tried reinstalling firmware n ... i also tried using it wid barcode reader but i dont work n this time i see is the theme background...
also the front camera is workin very gud .... n it all happened just after tht upgrade.....
Plz Get Me Out Of This Trouble

when you have the camera loaded, can you take a photo? (although you cannot see live from the viewfinder on screen...)

yup i tried it reinstalling after formatting memory card n i cheked the camera before coping my backups.....but all my efforts in vain
n gary i tried taking pic but it gave no clue wheather it took the snap or not n then i chked 4 pic n it wasn't ther... so no i can't click photos

sounds like the mechanical CCD sensor lens protector isn't opening -it happend to me when i put a magnet on the back of the phone . can you hear the mechanical shutter noise 2 seconds after you open main lens protector? (its not loud so you need to put the phone right to your ear)

although i was not able to recognise tht sound i think this is not the problem actually coz the problem started just after upgrading n wht u told seems a hardware damage....
n i would also like 2 tell tht when memory card is ther n i try shooting video i cant.. but when its not ther i can start the video recording although only sound is captured wid a dark black ...completely black video ....
but for clickin photos neither way works...
Now Could Anyone Suggest Wht The Problem Is N How Could I Tackle It...

hey although i wasnt able 2 recognize tht sound but i think thts not the problem... coz the problm just arised after upgrading n wht u r telling is a hardware damage....so i m providing u guys wid little more info.. so u could help me...
when memory card is inseted-
1.video cant be captured
2.photos cant be captured
when memory card not inserted
1.video capturing starts n i can record the audio but black screen is captured as video
2.photos cant be captured
i think this probably could help u guys to help me ..
so i think some1 will get wht the problem is n a soln. to it...
