Fuji finepix F11 6.3 mp, N95 Comparison shots

Shot in full auto on both camera and phone.

Just resized in PS nothing else.

the F11 is regarded as a very good compact cam, And i expected different results.

I prefer the image from the N95.

Thorght you would like to see.

Have a nice day.

The F11 has kept more detail in the shadows. Look at the Ivy(?) in the centre of the pic.

And personally I prefer the colours from the F11

The N95 has done a good job but you have to bear in mind this is in good light. The F11 will beat it hands down when the light starts to go.

I agree with Homer, in addition to which it's difficult to tell which is the 'truer' colour balance without seeing what the cameras actually saw, the difference in the focal length of each doesn't help either!

I'm of the opinion that the Fuji pic is probably more accurate and of slightly higher definition, whereas the N95 pic seems to be 'kinder' to the subject, though it lacks the wider exposure balance for shadows that the Fuji demonstrates.

Bearing in mind the fact that the N95 pic is very heavily compressed and processed in-camera and that the N95 itself is infinitely more versatile than the 'dedicated-purely-to-photograpy' Fuji, it performs magnificently in my opinion!

Good result. Yeah I prefer N95 outdoors too, but I still use my SLR for indoor shots.

Interesting comparison there. I prefer the N95 shot but as was said - how real is it for colour etc?

I like the F11 ... its more realistic and detailed
and im sure the F11 is better in the dark ... since , guessing ofcourse, the F11 has a stronger flash .. since the N95's flash is .. dont wanna say appauling...

I think it's right to discuss it as the technology has advanced to the point where a cell phone on board camera is comparable to a dedicated camera.

Yeah, at the end of the day, the N95 does lack when light is minimal, as do all Camera Phones. The apeture just aint big enough to get the light in.

But time after time, this failing get less and less important each time I whip the N95 out and capture that special snap; of the kids playing in the park, or the way the mist was sitting on the Lake on the way to work yeterday, or last week when that Hercules popped over the mountain right in front of me!

Lugging round a seperate camera, if you remember to, you would just miss most of these opportunities. For convenience alone, the N95 wins for me.
