Unhappy Music transfer issues.

Hi, i just got my shiny new n95-8gb! I love it for the most part, i am trying to set up music to put on it but have ran in to lots of issues.
Nokia Music Manager makes me want to kill kittens, so i would rather not use it, and when i did finally use it, i slowly(VERY SLOWLY) transfered over 4 gigs of mp3 and m4a from iTunes and after a long time it finished, so i do the refresh library thing, and after an equally long time it only found about half the songs and of those it could play even less.
So after a bit of work i set up Windows Media Player 11 to be able to play .m4a files and used the coolest app ever, MusicBridge to sync over all of the playlists and metadata from iTunes to WMP11, Now i can get songs transfered over without having to do that dumb refresh library function but WMP11 thinks my n95 is incompatible with .m4a files and some of the mp3 files, which i know isnt true because i bluetoothed them over to test.
So i call Nokia tech support get a guy that has no clue what is going on, because when i ask him about Windows Media Player's transfer functions he said the only way to get music on my phone is with Nokia Music Manager and so i let him think that, and listened to him fumble around a bit, then he said he will put me on hold and hung up. Thanks Nokia.
Anyhoo, there must be a better way then transferring small amounts of music via nokia music manager and my n95 every time it finishes. I know that .m4a isnt a native WMP11 file, but with a few plugins you can get WMP11 to play them just fine. Any ideas on what to do?

cheers!

For the N95 8GB, I use the USB connection, set it to data transfer mode and then the device should show up as another drive letter for the "Mass Storage" memory in the phone. Then I created a new folder on the drive called "Music" and I just drag & drop my music (mp3s) to it via Windows Explorer. Very simple and how I used to do it back in the day with my UMS devices. You still have to refresh the library after transfer, but not that big of deal, it only takes a really long time when it's say 367 files like last night. I use the Nokia PC Suite only to transfer contacts and calendar items right now, and do that over Bluetooth.

Just a note, I know you're using m4a's but if you have any m4p's those will definitely not work on your N95.

lol, I was going to say, use the Memory adapter, but realized you don't have an SD slot! :-P

Actually, I just do what melrah said, when i'm too lazy to take out the sd card, I just plug in the USB via mass storage, and it works like a harddrive...

i'd suggest, like melrah, connect to PC in Mass Storage mode, then open the 'sounds' folder, and then open the 'digital' folder and just copy/cut and paste all the tunes you want into that folder. Thats where all of my songs are and i've never had a problem, even with the Nokia player.
