connecting my n95 to my laptop via usb?
Im trying to connect my n95 to my laptop using the usb lead nokia provide you with. I installed the pc suite and when I press the get connected button in the corner my cursor shows like its loading but I left it for ten mins and nothing has happend?was wondering maybe the first time you connect your n95 to your laptop does it take a while?or am I doing something wrong?thank you in advance. |

When you first use the PC suite for your n95 it will install a program on your phone.. you need to confirm the installation on your phone for the pc suite to detect it.
one problem may also be you are using the wrong cable. |

He said he was using the cable that was provided with the phone,and pc suite does not install a program on your handset.
The best thing to do cyf1 is to install pc suite,re-boot your pc,plug phone in the open pc suite.

The newest version of PC Suite does infact prompt to install an application to the phone, though this is actually for the new message viewer
I'd go with Mr G's suggestion

G, PC Suite does install a tiny thing on your phone for MMS support.
Its in the PC Suite help menu.
But your right, i wouldnt call it a program or anything major like that.

when u connect your phone to the PC, is there a tiny USB icon on the top right corner of ur phone?

Yup it drops MMSSync on the phone!
I reckon OP needs latest version firmware and PCSuite with updated drivers etc.

Hey all....
Brand spanking newbie here....I have the same issue. Was able to load some tunes on my 8g and then can't get it to sync. Newest firmware? Can I find that on here guys? Better to sync or use phone as a data device??...not sure what to do next.  |
