What is Packet Data & why do I keep getting messages??

Hello me again, Ijust when I thought everything was ok, got my apps signd n downloaded, happy chappy!! But now I'm getting messages about 'Packet Data' after I make a call?? WTF is all that about?? Have I altered sum sort of setting??

I did do a search but couldn't seem to find what i was after.

ok you probably have packet data set to when available or you have an app running that is using the data connection. When you recieve a call it turns off the data connection and then alerts you that it's active again when you end the call. If you don't have an unlimited data plan I suggest you turn it to when needed.
Menu->tools->settings->connection->packet data->When needed

Thanks for that jkoppee.

I do have one more question though if you don't mind, the 'Nokmote' app is pretty sweet. But why didn't Nokia use this function, if its in the phone already?

Why have something in the phone and not use it?? or does GPRS use it??

Nokmote uses the acceleromoter to navigate the menus and games so basically if you 'lean' the phone to the left than it's the same as pressing the left d-pad key and so on. Nokia didn't put the accelerometer in there and not use it it's just that Samir has come up with new ways to use it. Has nothing to do with GPRS
