I just cannot agree that 128kbps sounds better than 320kbps on N95.
As others have stated it must be down to the software the user is using to convert from one Bitrate to another.
128kbps sounds complete crap on the N95, 320kbps produces a very nice rich sound although it does use up lots of space.

It is possible that the N95 "struggles" with the extreme upper and lower frequencies of 320kbps, thus bringing out the poor quality mp3 player of the N95..

Alot of it does come down to what you use to rip the CD and the original source though.. Converting a 320kbps file to 128kbps is not an accurate comparisson... when you rerender an mp3 you lose a noticable ammount of quality.. only true way to compare is to rerip it from the CD... or rip from CD to wav and render mp3 files from there..

I find personally 192 kbps is the happy medium.. Decent sound without using too much space..

I find the sound from the N95 is good, but I cannot stand the loud hiss that accompanies every key stroke, and the constant background hiss. If there was a way to overcome this, I could probably do away with an MP3 player!
