Got this a few days ago, excellent game.
Your right, it is a bit fiddly, there are only 2 attack buttons but you get used to it after a while.
I found that the contols aren't as responsive as I'd like, often there is a delay between pressing the button and actually doing the move which gives your apponent time to hit you with a few moves.
I don't know whether it is because im quite new to the controlls but I find that the cpu has the ability to preform more combos and actually block your moves with punches and kicks and pretty much being able to constantly hit you before you are able to strike back, making your character appear slower and giving the apponent the advantage which is quite frustrating at times.
For what it is it is quite difficult, but don't get me wrong I think it is a very good game.
I'm getting more used to it though and I currently have 2200 point after a couple of wins.

Yea i have to agree with ya there. If i play carefully like a girl i get beaten up by the AI; but when i man up and go PS2 rage mode on it i Keep hitting the multimedia key when i play.
Graphics and game play are definitely good, and the trial is pretty generous

I find it easier to take it easy and plan moves ahead, also do alot of dodging with some apponents.
I find that if I button bash, my moves will be countered by the apponent or they will lay into me while I wait for my character to finish a hit, but it is more of a realistic fighter than a button bashing arcade style fighter I think.
I tend to start repeating a lot of moves over and over as some do very little damage, where as the apponents moves will usually always hit you hard.
The AI is quite good and makes for a challanging game with some of the higher ranked apponents. The graphics are also excellent
Has anyone figured out the special moves yet?
I'm using the main character in the demo and I figured out how to do a throw.
Some of the other characters have special moves like a kick in the nuts or a knee to the head followed by an elbow to the back.
There are like 5 standard punches and about 5 standard kicks with the main character and so far I have seen one special move from him.
Some of the other characters appear to have more of each type of move though and there are different fighting styles for different characters (based on real martial arts?)
I think I may buy the full game and see how it is to play with the other characters.
In my opinion the most challenging apponent in the demo is Anuj, the one with the bat.

Yea Anuj is a real pain as i believe he has longer range with that bat. I usually play with medium difficulty setting and even then he's a real pain with his bat. Quite merciless that fella
