Sorry I mustn't have worded it right.
I was asking for a website where you sent your self an operator logo from, it was a blank logo and when saved , removed the standard carriers logo.
I was after the website to do it again ( having previously used it but lost it in a upgrade )
But I've found it now, this was the thread:
Remove network name from screen
and this was the site.
free ringtones free logos
I just types Blank Logo in and send myself a text from there. And saved the logo when it arrived. job done 2 mins.

ooh i see. but that works only for the UK, whereas this app is for worldwide, as long as you have the network code. more importantly is being able to remove the network operator logo, regardless of method :D

Easier method?
Hi
I've not tried this, so please correct me if I'm talking rubbish.
FExplorer (gosymbian.com) allows you to set any image file as an operator logo. Could you not just create a transparent gif or empty file and use that instead? What am I missing?

FExplorer does not appear to work for the N95 8GB yet. Tried the method here and it does get rid of the oplogo very effectively. I would love to be able to set another oplogo to my own design, but this method is very fussy about the image used for the oplogo. When I have created a file that looks good enough to use (simple phrase/word saved from MS Paint using bmp monochrome) the file is recognised and set as an oplogo but looks really bad - the black letters used for the phrase/word end up with a white outline around them. If I make a black background with white letters then the four edges of the image end up with a white border.
So, does anyone know how to make an oplogo that would look good? If it only looked as good as a standard vodafone oplogo then that would be fine - just want to change the word!

To answer my own post...
...I've found out that transparent gifs aren't supported as a image type for operator logos. Programs such as FExplorer resize files before setting them as logos, which produces the white box effects described above.
There's a comprehensive tutorial on the matter here:
www.symbian-freak.com/tunning/oplogo.htm
This includes full details on how to set operator logos.

I have also found out that by using hairil's method, on my phone i can put anyone's number in(that use any Nokia) and send the same blank or custom logo to them. All from my phone with NokiaLogo.
I've already sent custom logos to my 6230i and my friends 7270.

Hey G, have you tried this on your N82?
Do you think this would work on any S60 3rd phone?
Clearly i know the Logo's themselves work on a range of nokia's, but i mean the whole NokiaLogo App/Process.

I was thinking the white edges might simply be due to a mask being required to get the image as the phone wants it? This was nothing to do with any conversion as far as I can tell as I had already set the image to be a monochrome bmp. If conversion did cause this then presumably getting the image created correctly in the first place would avoid the requirement for any conversion? My default operator logo looks fine therefore it must be something to do with the properties of the image that I am trying to set as the oplogo.
Does anyone have any ideas as to exactly how the default operator logo would have been made / what properties it needs to have?

I can't do step 7? It all works fine up until there, and then when I find the Logo, in E:/>Images>Blank.bmp, and press select, it will then just stay where it is, not go back to the main menu like you suggest it should??
Any ideas?
