Isn't it reassuring to be told that an organisation that handles the entire demand for all symbian signing requests, has a server that can't handle the load and runs software that can't distinguish bots from genuine user-requests... What are these clowns playing at!

Anyone has any idea if a content id only lasts per signing or can you use it multiple times for a certain amount of time? Because if its the second case paying 20 bucks for one wouldnt be too bad since a lot of software you have to pay for anyways and it ends up usually being close to 15 bucks anyways..

Presume you are referring to the certificate once you have one? Multiple times ... unlimited within the lifetime of the cert.

The early certs were only valid for six months at a time but the later ones have a three year life ... if you were lucky enough to get one before all the problems.

Well they called it content ids..so I am not sure if it is the same thing as a cert or if it is something completely different.. Does a content id allow you to get one cert? Or is a content id basically a fancy name for a cert?

EDIT: Nevermind...I read the print it and seems you need 1 content id per sis file, unless anyone has experienced this first hand and would like to comment..?

What a nightmare! I tried to register an account with them and they don't seem to even accept any Canadian-based addresses.... Any way around this?

I used my other half's uni email address. If I could have accessed it at home I would have used my work address... if that helps.

(The evil bit of me wanted suggested "move" to the Canada question, but really it was just me being silly, and I have no issues with Canada at all)
