I doubt that the apps listed that you refer to are the ONLY apps that can be signed but they ARE the ones that we know of that are ABLE to be signed.
Developer certificates, when they were available, were locked to single IMEI numbers, so anyone posessing them can only sign apps to run in their own phones, no-one elses.
Publisher ID's are a different matter and can be used to sign up to 1,000 times... But they cost 200 USD a year to buy.

Ah I see I thought the certs could sign anything for any phone but I guess I got them mixed up with the ID's.

i have tried to sign cclock and received an email confirmation from symbiansigned which i already clicked the link. but it has been 2 days until now, i haven't gotten any email from symbiansigned about my signed cclock. is this normal to take this long?

Mine came in about 10 minutes so..I am not sure..did you check in your spam folders as well?

noob alert!
Hi, maybe I'm missing the point but I tried (and failed) to register at symbiansigned to get certificates to install applications, but then found that you can set the n95 so that it doesn't need certificates. I'm not clear why certificates are necessary if you can disable them?

Yep, you're missing the point... but it's easily done! :)
It refers to a different type of certificate... I only wish it were that simple!
BTW, you no longer need to register to sign an app.... see my sig.

How can you install unsigned apps on N95?
