That's too easy, and the more expensive option. Im trying to get a good deal/price, as the 8GB model in Finland is €700 Euros

But you will more than likely only get the 8gb free on a £30/35+ a month 18 month contract (unless you pay a fee for the handset) so that £540 in the long run if you take the contract option. You wont get a unlocked & unbranded handset other than buying sim free over here im afraid i dont think but the phones has to be sealed otherwise it cant be sold so no need to worry about that.

But as DTM said, you'll never get a better deal from a tariff. You pay for the phone cost AND minutes and data, whatever that tariff provides.

Afraid if you want brand new, £420+ looks what your going to have to pay.

Ive only seen the N95 8GB for free on a £35 a month contract, for 18 months. So 35 * 18 = 630.

Or 540, if you manage to find a £30 a month one, which I highly doubt.

Ok, heres the homework.

Cheapest tariffs (including length) for getting the N95 8GB for free.

O2 - £45 pm for 18 months.

Vodafone - £35 pm for 18 months.

Orange - are crap and dont even have the 8GB version.

T mobile - Dont have it either.

Three - £30 pm for 18 months.

So its better to get it from play or somewhere. Much cheaper.

The only cheaper option is ebay, where you could probably get one around the 300 GBP mark, with all the usual caveats. The risk/return ratio is in full force there, I have been quite lucky so far. Got one BNIB on Vodafone for 270 quid + 10 quid postage + 25 quid unlocking = 305 quid in total. Did all the debranding/upgrading myself and never looked back. I actually got it for a friend, he's deliriously happy with it, I'm sticking with my two N95-1 phones for now. One BNIB off ebay 7 months ago, one used from a private sale but in perfect nick a couple of weeks ago. I travel a lot and find it easier to have an extra phone rather than keep swapping cards.

Unless they are from carphone warehouse or phones4u who knows. Btw you cant get the 8GB from T-Mobile stores at the moment they dont have it.. you would have to go to carphone or the likes.

P.S i know because my stepdad is a area manager manager of the North West stores of T-Mobile and i get to look at all the new phones (T-Mobile stock) as and when they become available and i havent had a 8gb in my hands as of yet. Im still waiting to check out the N82 as a possible next handset if they ever blimin get it :(
Nope I was definately rerring to Nokias since thats who I work for ;)

By branding I include all the T Mobile menus and shortcuts that are part of the software as well as the covers :)
You are right in that T Mobile only brand the covers the same with Vodafone but the software for T Mobile is far more adapted than the Voda software is ( Orange brand software the heaviest but of course do not have this handset )
Sorry for any confusion

Hey, if you need any advice or guidance or simply to think out loud we're here for you.

I don't know how much time you have in the UK, but the main thing is to be patient - I usually watch several suitable auctions, then use bid assistant setting the price I've decided is the maximum I want to pay. It can take a few days, but it works for me. There's always the auction everyone seems to ignore or just miss or ends at an inconvenient time.
