Very simple my friend....
All you have to do, seeing youve installed PC Suite, is download the .sis(x) file to, say, your PC desktop. Have your phone connected to the PC and simply double click the downloaded file and follow the very simple instructions.

I have done as you said and am now at the stage were if i go into applications on phone and then app manger it shows divx player as being installed ( i installed Symbian S60 is this the right one ? ) and i have now transfered a video from my pc but the video still wont play ( it plays fine thru divx player on pc ) when i try and open video i get " unable to open, file type not supported " so my qusetion is do i need to do something with divx on phone before i play video or should it do it on its own . Sorry if this seems really basic and stupid but i really dont have a clue when it comes to stuff like this so cheers for your patience and advice .

I assume you have Divx Mobile Version 0.89.

Open the Divx app on your phone and it will automatically scan for playable Divx movies on your phone or SD card. Select and play.

It sounds like you are trying to open the file via file manager which would through up that error.
