I want a clear "desktop"...

I just got my N95, luv it, but i am annoyed by the main screen or desktop screen (or whatever it is called).
Is there a way I can hide or turn off the list of icons - contacts, message, clock, web, gallery, map) and the no calender entry and wlan scanning icons?

I would rather just see a clean desktop instead of all those icons.

thanx

not sure if this will help, but when i droped my phone in the bath, the wlan scanning thing disapeared! so i'm guessing they is a way, i'll have a look later when i'm out of the bath to see if i can find it for you :D. but they should be a way.

Tools ->settings->general->Personalisation->Standby Mode
select active standby to off and you'll be a happy bunny.

Yes
Menu-Tools-General-Personalisation-Standby Mode-Active Standby. Change setting to off.

Yep, turning active standby off is definatly better than dropping it in the bath.

LOL, you're lucky it's still working at all, but hold on, you dropped your phone in the bath, got it working again, you are still in the bath and now posting on the forums....eh..... or do you just take a lot of baths

I was wondering if there's a way to set the wallpaper to full screen. I have a Nokia 95-3, sweet phone, and when i set the wallpaper, it gets cut off on top or bottom or something. I also can't set any GIF files and get it to work on the main screen or "desktop" of the phone. Any advice?

My advice is not to hi-jack someone elses thread!
