Current version:

N95 Tips
The instruction is pretty straight forward..have you followed it correctly?Everything should go just fine assuming you do it correctly..

The N95-3 has it's own firmware and will not take the firmware for the N95-1 as far as I'm aware

Take it from Gaz..Never update your firmware using the product of other phone model.

I also read somewhere on the forum that you SHOULDN'T update the latest firmware. I forget where I read it, but it is a big thread.

I have US -3 and I have not updated my version 10.XX whatever

V11.2.009
28-09-07
RM-160
Nokia N95 (19.01)

This is the current firmware for the n95-3 US version. v20 is the current for the n95-1 which includes the better software updates. Unfortunately, there is no telling for sure that the us 3G n95-3 will EVER get the kind of update the original n95 got, but i hope it does because it would be a slap in the face to those who upgraded to the US version for more RAM and 3G...

The reason you probably read that is because those of you with the v10 firmware (myself included) would see little benefit from upgrading to v11 because it brings hardly anything of use with it unless you are interested in subscribing to DRM music services. Otherwise, you are better off waiting for a "real" update if it ever comes ...

Not sure if this is the right thread, but anywho:

I got the N95-2, and it has the latest update (15.0.0.15). But I thought the updater would still run, and tell me that it was up to date. When I connect the phone to my pc and run the software update, it just hangs. I kinda hoped I wouldn't need to reinstall it...

Thanks.
