As I understand it the firmware being talked about here is for N95-1, not N95-3.
In fact, from what I've seen there hasn't been a firmware upgrade released for the N95-3 yet...I may be wrong though.

You're not wrong, the firmware under discussion in this thread is solely for the N95-1 and no other. No N95-3 update has so far been announced... And they are NOT interchangeable!

You can't, it for the Nokia N95-1, you'll have to stuck on that crappy and buggy firmware an wait until Nokia finally decide to release something new for North American users and at least fix the very well known problem with accelerometer based applications developed in Python.
Teo
Sorry Teo but we hardly need a review of the N-95, especially linked from you-know-where! ... Sp00k.

there's no update for the n95-3 yet. you have to wait for an update on your phone as you cannot use other model's firmware.

Well good for you!
That's very useful to know, especially for the vast majority of us who don't have a JAF flasher-box to hand...
Now the question is, do we all dash out and buy one, bearing in mind the fact that they start at approx. 160 USD and more, depending on what extras are needed to connect them... OR, do we wait a few days until the authorised NSU version is released... Decisions, Decisions... ;)

I reckon the best option is to wait. I am pretty sure it will be out on the NSU very soon. Yea, we dont seem to know how soon though but its gonna be worth the wait :) :)
Good job though dendennis. And thanks for the info.

oh sweet... 3 only just released the v20 firmware...
Not much really excites me about it...
thought it was my stuff up when winamp recognised it as an N95 8GB... guess they must've built the firmware based on the N95-2 firmware...
