Calendar has failed on me, Mum rang up contract company, they said I should send it off back to Nokia to fix

If any of you remember, my Dad had a problem with his backlight, well, he got a replacement phone, worked fine, but now its just done the same thing, his backlight has died.

So, the contract company said both should be sent off, and the guy on the phone, English, and in the UK says we should demand a brand new phone, and if not, he'll do his best, to try and get me and Dad, a free Nokia N96 when they come out in Autumn :D

But, if I get a replacement, won't I loose all my apps, etc. And due to Symbiansigned, charging, that means I can't get them back....plus my IMEI# will change...:(

Any suggestions?

if you're given a new phone then everything is lost and you have to sign the apps again for the new imei.

if you have an account with symbiansign just request a new cert when you get the new phone. i had all my install files and used genialSIS to unsign and sign them to the new imei.
