Help me to reset the Nokia N95 Locking code
Dear all,
I forget the lock code for my Nokia N95 (originally Factory default was 12345).
I have tried several number combinations I use for lock codes but failed.
I do need this unlock code to reset the phone back to Factory settings.
Please anybody who knows how to reset those unlocking code, help me.
Regards,
Oly

I don't know how to reset it without knowing the code. But I know that if you type it wrong three times in a row, it will not accept the right code after that before you restart. Strangely it lets you keep trying. Then you must restart your phone and try again. No more than three times at the time. Worked for me several times. Hope it works for you too pal.

I checked some options on the subject and found this:
Another way to format some symbian phones: Power off phone. Press and hold Green, * and 3 and keep them held whilst powering on and for a few seconds after, if kept pressed this formats without asking for Security Code confirmation.
Format phone restores phone to as if it was out of the box. Retains firmware version and operator Variant changes but wipes all applications you have installed. Does not format the memory card so any apps on there may reinstall once powered back up again.
So take your BACKUPS first!!!

Help me to reset the Nokia N95 Locking code
Hi all,
I have forgotten the locking code for my Nokia N95. Is there anyway to reset it back to factory setting which is 12345?
Secondly when I tried to upgrade its firmware, I got black out. And now I can not connect the phone to my notebook. Cable has been properly connected but connection is not available Nokia PC Suit did not recognize the phone.
How to correct this situation?

hey mate, try this... taken from sp00k's tips section!

FORMATTING CODES
*#7370# .......... Format phone...[Hard-Reset]
*#7780# .......... Factory Reset
Note:
Format phone restores phone to as if it was out of the box. Retains firmware version and operator Variant changes but wipes all applications you have installed. Does not format the memory card so any apps on there may reinstall once powered back up again.
Factory Reset resets all settings to defaults but keeps any applications you have installed and photos etc. Both need the Security code, which, by default, is 12345.
Another way to format some symbian phones: Power off phone. Press and hold Green, * and 3 and keep them held whilst powering on and for a few seconds after, if kept pressed this formats without asking for Security Code confirmation. ->I just re-read your post, you will probably have to try this method.. make sure you back everything up first!!

to detect your phone again... turn it off and take out the battery for a few minutes and plug it again.
