Upgrading Memory Card

hey guys upgrading my meomry card to a bigger one ( finally got my 8gb, )

transferring music and pictar files is not problem but i have a question about apps installed on my current card. Can i just copy them to the new card?? will the phone recognize the files if i just copy/paste everything to the new card, or do i have to reinstall everything again. Any help will be greatly appreciated,

Best thing to do is set your PC to 'show hidden files' THEN copy your entire card content (preferrably using card reader) to a floder on your PC then transfer to your 8gb card using card reader/adaptor again.

As long as you have the hidden files showing, and copy the contents of the old card in it's entirety to a folder on your hard drive, and then copy the contents of the folder on to the new memory card (keeping the file structure), it will be fine, and you will not need to reinstall apps, etc.

Mr G, apologies for the duplication. Do not suppose you have the answer though rather than just deleting the message.
