Yes mate you can change your product code and jump into V21. You'll notice a huge difference.

You'll loose data from phone memory, but back up your contacts and such like on PC Suite and then to apply them once updated. You'll need to re install any apps you have saved on phone memory as it wipes it all clean.

if not, you'd have to change the product code. read the tips section, they have a wide coverage of useful guides N95 Tips

just make sure to backup only your contacts and messages. as for the rest, start afresh. data files such as videos or songs or images can be backed up to memory card or PC. applications would most likely need reinstallation

Bit of a pain that about applications.

Open up PC Suite and connect with your cable. And click "Back Up" ( top left icon )

so I counted my chickens a little to soon.

I am trying to restore my data using content copier and restore. It keeps freezing on 72%. Any reason why?

try doubleclicking on the nokia pc suite icon in your system tray. it should bring up the Nokia PC Suite box. Click on Help> Reinstall pc suite support on your phone

now try restoring again

i had to reinstall pc suite, I had an older version, it looks completely different now, and I can see where the 'back up' icon is in the top left now. :D

Hopefully that's everything sorted now.
