@rickray, are you sure it is not locked if you have the wired headset? It is a small sliding button on the side. Not sure if the BT headset has a locking button.

i read somewhere in the net and it say there is a battery in the ad-43 headset, it last about 6 months. that's why it stopped working. however, it is impossible to replace the battery without damaging the clip on the back, so I guess this is a way Nokia want to earn money, because it warranty is only 6 months for the headset

I was going to start a thread on this as i've got some new headphone, but my mic doesn't work. I thought it was cos i wasn't using original headphones/V21.
But the battery explanation is probabily better, had the phone for 6 months now, only 12 left to finish the contract

As much as I hate the thought of having to reinstall all my apps again and all the hassle that goes with it I think I will give this a go as it may solve my problem of not being able so allow others to see my caller ID.

Just updated, heard the Vista unplug plugin sounds for devices A LOT but I just left it and all was well! The NSU estimated 15 minutes but with my 4GB RAM and Q6600 @ 2.7GHz I did it in about 4 minutes :D No pauses or anything, seams to have fixed the "SIM CARD REGISTRATION FAILED." error message to! I can finally stop having to quickly turn it into offline mode when I turn my phone on! yay ^_^
