Hi Ryan, sounds like your handset maybe branded to a specific Service Operator firmware. In which case, V20 maybe the latest available for your branded OS.
If you want V21, you would have to de-branded, but beware, this will void any warranty your N95 would have.

Not much, if any. The improvement came with V20. V21 appears to be a little more stable (IMO) than V20. Certainly access to Music Player and Gallery are a little faster and Maps seems to pick up a GPS signal in next to no time, even from a 'cold' start. It's still worth upgrading if you can. I didn't think a V20 to V21 is worth doing though if you have to debrand your phone, change it's product code and ergo void any warranty you have; in fact I'm not 100% sure if NSU still lets you with an NSS changed product code.

Am not sure if this question has been asked/answered ... but I've upgraded to v21 and now for some reason the data connection icon is on permanently.
From what I remember with previous versions, it was a case of changing the "Network" in the tools menu to "GSM" instead of "Dual mode". I've done this with v21, but still have the icon.
The icon changes to a disconnected icon when sending a text.
Anyone know how to disable the data connection?

Have been a bit weary re upgrading to V21 But finally took the plunge last nite. Been sitting on upgrading since April, because out here we don't have a dedicated Nokia repair centre and If Id'e bricked the phone I had knowhere to take it.
But pleased to say all went OK. It's thanks to Micky and Mr G's earlier posts in March
Re: waiting awhile before upgrading I finally did It. Thanks Lads, and also to everyones continued support. Best forum on the net.
Gonna go and have a little play Now

I'd suggest having a read through the tips section on changing product code and updating, there's a link to a thread in there about voiding your warranty. Then have a read through our FAQ section #8, then have a read through the last link in my signature
