Yet another recent video on YouTube, this time a cloned N95-2, although not a great video quality, it does actually show you some things what to look out for.
The guy who made this video comments on that this is the best looking clone he has ever seen, however, this is a common response from most people who buy one, not knowing they have a clone at first, but later find out.

even though these are blatant rip-off's and entirely non- genuine, you've got to admire the handywork of todays counterfeiters, being able to install and so closely mimic the form and functions.. and if they could sell these for £50 with legitimate imei's etc... i'd have one, just for work :)

I just wanted to check the authenticity of my phone. It was sent off for repair a few months ago by my local Nokia Service Centre, and Nokia sent them a replacement phone rather than repairing the old one. I'm pretty sure it's genuine, but it can't hurt to check:
*#0000# brings up:

(there is a copyright symbol in front of the last line, but I can't find that in the character map on my os) |

Where are you located? USA?
If so, your firmware is genuine. You have the N95-4, which the latest version of firmware available to you (unbranded) is v 20.2.005, but unfortunately, does not come with ASR, (Auto Screen Rotation), but believe that feature will be in the next but last upgrade release.

Thanks. I registered but stopped coming to the site because i ended up getting an iphone.
