Nokia N95

Before we can get it connected to a computer, we really need to know what we are dealing with, however, MT6227, is most certainly a cloned device.

If you can, it would be appreciated if you could take some photos of your handset for this thread.

You can create a free account at ImageShack® - Image Hosting, or just upload images from your PC from there, then copy and paste the given links when upload complete into your reply box here. I can move, or correct any broken links for you should you have any problems, alternately, you could email me the photos, and i will do this for you.

Let me know which you prefer, and I will pm you my email should you wish for the latter.

As to connecting to your pc, go into "My Computer", it should show in there as a usb device, but again, Im not certain with this type of clone.

Thanks for writing that article, took the time to buy the fake N95 phone and keeping users from buying it by accident. AWESOME.

I wanted to add my two cents, apparently there is a NEWER N95 clone with 8 gigs of storage, GPS and Wifi making it harder to tell that it is a fake, here's the article:

Thanks MikeTwo, yes, there are photos of the latest 8GB clone in this thread, and the one below.

We have had a few members on here reporting they had been ripped off by buying a clone thinking it was real. They supplied photos, and details too, which is also in this thread, in a hope to educate members here to steer well clear.

The Chinese are getting clever, and even allowing *#0000# to be keyed in the handset now, which shows a result, however, the result is a giveaway.

Watch it! Nokia N95 8GB cloned to perfection BEWARE new buyers...

Reading the other thread now, doesn't seem to be exactly like the one I saw...the new one claims to have a GPS and Wifi built in making it even easier to fool unsuspecting buyers.

I read the article, and appreciate you bringing it to our attention, but as said, there have been members here with this latest clone. Check out the page in my blog, where you will find photos of the latest clones. There are 4 types of N95-2 clone that I know of, and 4 of the N95-1, all with different levels of detail, and software.

thanks gsi-r will let you know how it goes.
have been told i will be getting a refund, but i havent got it yet.
this clone had gps in the menu,but as like nokia maps it just says it's a service that nokia will have to add to the phone and to contact them.
i can just see there faces if i contacted them with it to get it upgraded...lol
