Cool Keypad annoying me

Hi all,

Sorry if this has been posted, I tried the search option, but couldn't find an exact situation...

It's about the keypad and the soft keys section on the slider.
Everytime I use the phone, whether for navigation, texting, in and out of applications....keys sometimes don't seem to react to my first pressing on them. If I press them again they will react...
This is a sparse situation and can happen with any key...

This is highly annoying specially when texting, because I tend not to look at the screen and trust the text is being input as wanted.

Anyone else having this same situation?
Cheers

Send a message via AIM to Doc Tran
What version N95 do you have? (-1? -2? -3? -4?)

What firmware do you have?

I remember that an early firmware on the N95-1 had a keypress bug.

Bet you're using an older version of the firmware. V12 was notorious for it!

Hello

It's a N95-1 and the firmware is indeed V12.0.013.

Is this really down to the firmware?

So my troubles and Gazzer's are due to this?

Yes, I'm afraid that they are, it's a notorious bug in that firmware version.

I was running a phone on v20 that was replaced with one that was running v12 and boy did I notice the keypress bug! I was running Vodafone's excellent MusicStation service and it basically came down to having that or v20 and the need for v20 won!
