Active Standby: Events Notification

Hey everyone,

I got my New N95 yesterday, just a quick question, is there a way of getting events notifications (SMS and Voicemail) on the main screen. E.G: I get Calender event notification, WLAN Scanning OFF, and Music (when playing). But no text message or voicemail notification (Only the white icons in the top right hand side)

Is there a way of turning this feature on?

Also I have searched for active standby in google and on the E series aparently you can get active standby plugins. Does anyone know why its not a feature on the N95?
