Having just got my
N95, and debranded it, I've boned up on VOIP and now have a good idea of how it works and what it costs. But there's one answer that still eludes me.
When you sign up online to a VOIP provider they check your IP address and know which country you are living in (or at least registering in!) If that country is on the provider's 'free' list, is it still free if you are calling from within that country?
Voipcheap has the following UK rates:
United Kingdom (Landline) SuperDeal! FREE*
United Kingdom (Mobile) SuperDeal! 0.080
United Kingdom [0845 Rate] 0.040
United Kingdom [national Rate] 0.100
United Kingdom [personal] 0.180
but I've no idea what 'Personal' is and wonder if that and 'National Rate' are a way of charging for in-country calls.
If all that makes any sense, can anyone help?
Many, many thanks!
