saving unsupported files
i think we came to the conclusion that opera mobile could do this... But i have ran into some difficulty.
For example if i see a zip file online i want to download directly to the the phone, opera will download it but it wont let me open or save it anywhere!
Am i missing a step somewhere?

If it's a zip file then just use the default browser. Or am i missing something??
If it's not a zip file, and you're using Opera, go to the folder where the file was downloaded (where you saved it), and open it with other 3rd party software you have. Say if it's a .avi file open it with CorePlayer.
What's so though?

Sorry sexy, i have uninstalled my opera so i cant experiment with your situation. Sorry.
EDIT: After reading through, i would really reccommend the hack provided by steve, it looks really good and not much twinkering is required. I'm just curious to see what happens when coreplayer tries to play the .rar file though. lol.

Yep, know about this one - great stuff! Plus Coreplayer is the best media player out there anyway, so its a win-win!
