Linux bash script for video conversion

Hi all,

This is the script I use to convert videos for my N95. The script is a hack of one that I found on the web. It was originally written by an owner of a meizu player and was called meizu-prepare. I then tweaked it to do my videos for my D2. And now it is tweaked for the N95. It works well and has some options:

-vb = set video bitrate. Default 1500
-td = set target directory
-vol = tweak volume. Usually it is not required, but some files start off a little soft and are then tweaked.
-aspect use a different aspect ratio. Get those eggheads off the screen!
-aid Use a different audio channel. This is sometimes required if there are more than one audio channel in the source file and one wants to access a different channel.
-sub Add subtitles in .srt format. Grab subs from Subtitles - DivX Movies. Subtitulos, Podnapisi, legendas, subtitrari or a similar site
-w width defaults to 320
-h height defaults to 240

Enjoy!!
N95 script

Ah, might help me figure out what I've been missing. My attempts using both ffmpeg and mencoder have been unsuccessful.

My pleasure mate,

The script seems to gobble all that I feed it and the result is usually pretty good. We always watch films with subs, so that might be nice.

The main issues I found and the things I check before converting is:

Are the subs synced? shifting and scaling I do with gnome-subtitles
Is the aspect ratio good? I hate faces that are stretched in either directions. Eggheads are the most common, though.
Usually the volume is fine, but every so often, The volume is too soft. I haven't tried the volume switch with the N95 script.
